New Year Fitness Jumpstart

Is it time to do something about your physical fitness?

If you’re experiencing:

A regular training program will not only strengthen your body, but also make you feel better in your own skin and elevate your mental and emotional state.

I'm offering a New Year Jumpstart

For those who know it's time to change the direction of their physical health,
but feel intimidated about getting started.

Starting a fitness journey can be daunting, but with 3 one-on-one sessions and a month of semi-private training, we can focus on building a foundation specific to your body.

I think a lot of us fall into the group of people who just don't go (or want to go) to "normal" gyms. In the past I've gone to classes at gyms and I've never enjoyed them. I think the difference with your class is it feels more like a kinda yoga class, but it's not. There are a lot of gyms out there, but yours is more of a safe haven and learning about your body place, and not a competitive, athletic, go for the burn place, which is a plus in my book.

In this Physical Training Jumpstart Series you’ll get:

We’ll identify your current capabilities and conduct a needs analysis to narrow down all the exercises you could spend your time on to the ones most beneficial for you.  We’ll ensure that your exercises align with your strengths, weaknesses, and aspirations.

You’ll learn what it feels like to do the exercises well and get the work into the right spot so that you make steady progress without hitting any mystifying plateaus.

After these sessions you can confidently transition to small group training for a month, to see if it’s the right fit for continuing your development as a strong, mobile and physically capable person.

Begin your physical transformation.

At the age of 58, the only experience I have with an exercise class is Zumba. The idea of participating in personal training was very intimidating. I have never seen myself as someone who "works out" and pretty much told Roselie that first day "3 words that have never been in my vocabulary are: plank, squat and lunge". I have always avoided these types of exercises out of concern of doing them wrong and hurting myself. It was especially intimidating to be training in a group setting! Who ever thought I would say planks are getting easier 🙂 There are subtle improvements noted when I can just "tell" that I am starting to use the correct muscle groups. I like the feeling of getting stronger - it feels powerful! Roselie is able to guide us through the exercises to avoid injury and helps modify when needed. This group is amazing! I can say without any hesitation that being part of this group is the primary reason that I have stuck with the program. There is a sense of support and teamwork that I truly appreciate. Roselie gives each of us unique exercises and is gifted at being able to modify them so that they are achievable but challenging. Simply put, I am doing things that I never thought I would do! Roselie is sincerely invested in our success. I also appreciate the education she provides.

Roselie is a very talented teacher; she is good at adjusting each exercise for various members of the group. We have a wide range of skill levels, body shapes, and ages. She makes sure that nothing is out of reach for any of us, adjusting if we can't do something.

Frequently Asked Questions

The one on one sessions as well as the small group sessions take place at my home on Swede Heaven Road–near Darrington, Washington–in what used to be our shop and is now being converted into a fitness studio. There is a small anteroom for leaving your shoes, or changing into your gym shoes and a sink and bathroom.

I love helping building with no experience with structured exercise discover the rewarding world of physicality.  Everybody has a starting point, but a lot of people don’t know how to figure out how to start.  That’s what I’m really good at, looking at your unique collection of strengths, weaknesses, old injuries and health conditions and creating something that challenges you, but is doable.

That’s great!  Biological age doesn’t really correspond to an individuals abilities anyway.  My focus is on helping people become more capable for what they want to do in life and to stay capable as they age.  I’m particularly interested in helping people who have been having trouble getting started with exercise.  You can start to become stronger and more capable at any age.  If you’re currently a competitive athlete looking to reach your peak potential I probably don’t offer what you really need.

The 1 on 1 sessions you can schedule as soon as you purchase the Jumpstart.  Those sessions need to be used by February 28th.

The month of small group training is one continuous month of training up to twice a week.  You need to start this month of training by March 1st.  Unused small group sessions will expire on March 31st.

You can purchase this offer until the last day of the year.  After that, it is no longer available.  Once purchased, you can begin to schedule your sessions.  You’ll have until the end of February to redeem your 1 on 1 sessions, and until the end of March to redeem your small group training sessions.  After that, the unused sessions are no longer valid.

This would make a great gift!  It’s also a wonderful way to show that you support the recipient in taking time for themselves and their health.  Let me know if it’s intended as a gift and I’ll make sure the person has access.

Great question!  I have a page that gives the details and schedule here.

If you still have questions, let me know.
